From MacPlus to MacBook Pro, veteran award-winning news artist, Mary Ellen Kelley has been a pioneer in the creation of the profession of "graphic journalism" for 25 years. Demonstrating to her editor in 1986 that a Macintosh-generated color vector graphic could be ready for the camera room in less than twenty minutes meant color graphics accompanying the news on deadline were now possible. These color graphics on deadline, along with instantaneous desktop publishing software completely changed how publications were put together ~ revolutionizing the industry. This took place at The Winchester Star, Winchester, Virginia.
